Mammalian Diving Response is a phenomena that occurs when certain mammals' faces are submerged in cold water, resulting in a reduction of heart rate up to 10%. This album is a drunken rumination on the effects of trauma, anguish, and loss at the individual scale, and the variable unconscious methods we use to cope and continue surviving. Recorded in a basement bedroom in Chicago in January 2011 in a weeklong recording binge, this album previously [didnt] enjoy a limited cassette release dubbed over 50 self-help tapes.
